🇺🇦 Crypto withdrawal and using it as payment in Ukraine 🇺🇦

2022-06-17

Last time we discussed how Ukrainians can buy digital assets today in light of the NBU military restrictions and the recently signed law "On virtual assets". Today's topic is of no less importance: how to withdraw crypt and use it as payment in Ukraine.

❗️Crypto withdrawal is allowed, but...

The National Bank did not prohibit banks from processing hryvnia transfer payments from cryptocurrency exchanges. Quasi-cash transactions are officially banned today, limiting only the possibility of buying digital assets. Most exchanges, including KUNA, process customer withdrawals as expected.

Apparently, only Binance has faced some issues. The media reported that Monobank banned users from withdrawing funds from this platform to hryvnia cards. The same occurred with Privatbank. Representatives of Monobank assured that the restrictions would not affect other Ukrainian and foreign exchanges.

How to withdraw hryvnia on KUNA

1️⃣ Exchange crypto for hryvnia in the "Trades" section. More than 18 UAH pairs are available.

2️⃣ Go to the "Assets" page, find UAH among currencies and click "Withdraw".

3️⃣ Choose one of the available payment methods:

Visa/Mastercard — 1.5% fee

GEO Pay service — 1.5% fee

KUNA Code — 0% fee

Cash (from UAH 300,000) — 3.5% fee

What can you buy for crypto in Ukraine

Most recently, we discussed that the DIM group of companies was the first in Ukraine to implement crypto payments for real estate purchases. Four stablecoins are currently accepted: USDC, USDT, BUSD, and DAI. We explored the market and picked the most exciting companies that already allow cryptocurrency payments.

Servak — the platform sells used servers for businesses, allowing startups to save on expensive equipment.

Hotmine — it is only logical that the Ukrainian manufacturer of mining equipment accepts crypto.

Avtoplenka — an online store that sells carbon car film for wholesale and retail and allows bitcoin purchases.

Barbos — thanks to this online pet shop, Ukrainians can buy all necessary supplies for their pets with BTC and ETH.

Farvater — in this travel agency, you can buy a tour for any cryptocurrency using BinancePay.

Juscutum — a progressive law firm that provides crypto consulting services and accepts payment in digital assets.

MyBro — an electric scooters and bikes store that accepts bitcoin.

In Green — an online store with a large selection of construction tools, Ukraine-wide delivery, and payments in USDT and BTC.

This is only a part of the companies where you can already purchase goods or services for cryptocurrencies. We do not doubt that with the industry's development and the law "On virtual assets" entering into force, even more companies will integrate cryptocurrencies into their systems.
